There’s so much to cram into the first couple weeks of school: Icebreakers! Norms and expectations! Class procedures! Syllabus! Tech tools! Building relationships is always the most important thing, but we love activities that can do that and more. So, we wanted to share ideas for how you can get to know your students AND introduce them to the Floop platform. Any of these activities can be done in conjunction with this Floop Student Onboarding slideshow.
Back-to-School Activity
In this 15-45 minute activity, you can start the relationship-building process by getting to know your students, introduce the Floop platform to your students, and establish a practice of feedback as a conversation. With spot-annotated conversations in Floop, you can have direct connections with your students right on the page. Download the full activity HERE.
Fast 1st Floop Assignments
Need something even faster? We love doing a simple “Favorite Food” activity whenever we’re introducing Floop to new folks, but if that’s not your jam 😉, we brainstormed other ideas too. In 10-15 minutes, you can introduce students to not only teacher-student feedback conversations but also peer- and self-feedback. You can view the full document (with copy-paste descriptions) HERE.
Example Assignments by Discipline
Not sure where to go from there? Floop can be used in any subject on both physical and digital work. Here are examples of assignments and feedback strategies across different disciplines. For access to the full document, you can click HERE.
We hope you find these resources helpful! Let us know in the comments how you use Floop during back-to-school.
