Elizabeth Matlick has been using Floop since the beginning! She is part of the founding crew helping to think up and create the peer feedback component of Floop. Elizabeth currently teaches English to middle school students in Bozeman, Montana. She previously served as a writing specialist for 7th-12th graders in Bellevue, Washington.

Now more than ever, Elizabeth values Floop’s emphasis on feedback over grades:  “It’s so challenging in our culture to complete the shift away from confusing, behavior-based averages and toward useful feedback, revision, and reflection. What’s more, is that ‘the old ways’ of grading are not sustainable for so many of us as English teachers! Floop’s philosophy of iterative learning and the tools Floop has made available help me to manage feedback in a way that is sustainable and growth-oriented, for myself, and for my students.”
