We were working on the World War II unit, and I noticed that my students were struggling to be engaged with the content. I was determined to get fix the problem! As an assignment, I had them write a letter to a WWII soldier. They had to assume the role of another WWII soldier as well in the hopes that giving the students a role would get them more invested in the time period. I found Floop (how?). The students submitted their letters in Floop where I was able to give them feedback and the students were able to peer review each other’s work as well! They were so much more engaged. This had a big impact on their work, and it also had a big impact on my planning for the future. I am sure to use Floop in more of my lessons to ensure more student engagement and achievement.
